The FEM Intralogistic Systems Product Group has published its 2014 Factsheet.
2014 was a good year for the intralogistics industry. Shuttles for boxes nearly doubled between 2011 and 2014. Nevertheless, statistics for intralogistic machinery (S/R machines, Miniloads) are still recovering compared to 2012 results.
In general, 2014 was a good year for the materials handling industry as a whole. Although order intake for intralogistic systems in 2014 decreased by about 3.5% (compared to 2013), it is still above the 2012 level. One important result to highlight is that the “Courier Express Parcel” sector showed an increase from 17% to 23% between 2013 and 2014.
