FEM Product Group Industrial Trucks has published a “Shows & Exhibitions – Technical Policy“. The document sets principles to respect when presenting equipment at trade exhibitions so as to ensure conformity with applicable regulatory requirements.
Simple obligations are reminded (e.g. declaration of conformity, availability of the technical file) to safeguard a level-playing field for competing companies but also fairness towards distributors and end-users. It is also explained that although non-conform equipment can be presented (e.g. equipment not destined to the EU market or equipment under development), it must be clearly identified as equipment “not available in the EU market in the current configuration”.
