FEM speaks about Industry 4.0 at CeMAT Asia

FEM Secretary General Olivier Janin presented the impacts of Industry 4.0 at two events held during the CeMAT Asia show in Shanghai. Mr. Janin first spoke at the CeMAT Innovation Salon on 26th October and then at the 7th Sino-Japanese Logistics Technology Exchange Conference the day after. After introducing FEM and global trends our society is experiencing, the presentation goes to show the benefits Industry 4.0 brings about for both users and manufacturers alike. Although some challenges are also ahead (e.g. Cyber-security, data access and ownership, standardisation…), Industry 4.0 is very much embedded into each aspect of the European materials handling industry’s competitiveness.
