The COVID-19 outbreak is a major challenge for Europe. We are in a state of sanitary emergency, where the preservation of people’s health and life is critical. We are also in a state of economic emergency with hundreds of thousands of companies experiencing a dramatic slowdown if not a complete halt of their business.
In an open letter, FEM President Jos De Vuyst calls on EU and national leaders to take all the necessary measures to preserve industrial capacity and enable the European materials handling industry to keep supply chains operating.
