Frank van Dijck was elected as FEM President on 27 September 2024, on the occasion of the FEM Congress in Istanbul, Turkey, organised by İSDER TURKEY.
CTO and Member of the Board at Vanderlande, Frank joined FEM in 2020. In 2022, he took the lead of the Intralogistics Systems Product Group and joined the Board of FEM.
Reacting to his election, he said: “As we navigate challenging times, whether economically, environmentally or geopolitically, a strong and stable representative organisation is a must to ensure that our collective interests are preserved. As President of FEM, I will do my utmost to empower the European materials handling industry thanks to a supportive European policy framework with achievable regulations that serve their purpose.”
Meanwhile, Ernesto Dominguez Porta, President of Toyota Material Handling Europe and Chairman of the Industrial Trucks Product Group was elected Vice-President of FEM.
Two new members also joined the Board:
Vincent BERIER, Regulation and Compliance Department Manager at Haulotte Group, replaced Luisa Parisotto as Product Group Mobile Elevating Work Platforms President. Luisa stepped down after a remarkable tenure during which she notably managed to formally establish MEWPs as a full-fledged FEM Product Group.
Finally, Jocelyn Gourlet, Senior Vice President KION Group Industrial Trucks & Services France, joined as representative of the French National Committee EVOLIS – Organisation professionnelle . Jocelyn will also lead the recently created group on Autonomous Intralogistic Vehicles.
At the dawn of a new 5-year EU cycle, hopefully with the competitiveness of the European industry in focus, FEM is well equipped with a strong leadership to stir the European materials handling industry towards a positive future.
