A welcomed reinforcement of market surveillance in Europe

FEM has submitted its position paper to the European Commission on the proposal for a Regulation on compliance and enforcement in the Single Market (as part of the Goods Package).

Whereas market surveillance is a very important issue for the European materials handling industry, the paper highlights FEM overall support to the proposal, notably the objectives to reinforce the current market surveillance framework, improve compliance with the EU harmonisation legislation and ensure EU-wide coordination between market surveillance authorities in Europe.

For further details on the FEM comments and recommendations for improving the current text, the full position paper is available in the section General Publication (“Position papers”)
