Guide on the F-Gas Regulation

Guide on the F-Gas Regulation

FEM has issued a guide on the application of Regulation 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases  (F-gases) to materials handling equipment. The guide will help companies integrating air conditioning systems in the machines they manufacture or import to comply with the requirements from the F-Gas Regulation.

The F-Gas Regulation sets a number of requirements related to the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases, and notably HFCs which are refrigerants commonly used in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Several types of materials handling equipment can be affected, such as some categories of forklift trucks, telehandlers, tower cranes or mobile cranes that integrate air conditioning equipment.

The guide can be found in the publications section of FEM website: general publications / regulatory guidance
